That’s where Cleanhub comes in. For every product you buy from one of our sustainable brand partners, we collect 1kg of plastic before it can end up in our oceans. We’ve done our homework to make sure we’re using the best recovery methods at every stage of the plastic life cycle. Our tech-first approach allows individuals, businesses, and governments to come together to protect our oceans at a global scale.

Our story
Hi, we’re Bosse, Florin, and Joel.
On a summer day you may find us sailing, surfing, or just enjoying a cold drink on the beach. We founded Cleanhub to protect and preserve the oceans we love so dearly.
We’ve spent over a year nerding out on all the ways we can keep our oceans clean. Our verdict? We need to build digital solutions that can scale the collection of plastic before it enters our oceans.
Did you know that only 20% of plastic that enters our oceans is recyclable? So what happens to the rest? In many parts of the world, there’s no financial incentive to do anything with non-recyclable plastics like grocery bags, wrappers, and food containers. So they get tossed in landfills, leak out into rivers or the open environment, and eventually make their way into the ocean.
This is where Cleanhub steps in.
We empower local communities to set up collection businesses at scale. We do that by incentivizing the collection and safe disposal of non-recyclable plastics. Our digital platform allows collection groups to hand over their collected plastic to a network of certified plastic treatment and recovery partners.
This is all made possible by our sustainable brand partners and their customers. Sustainable brands work with us to fund the collection of plastic for every product they sell. And when individuals choose these brands, they are doing their part to keep our oceans clean.
